CFAO opens its largest Central African car dealership in Kinshasa...
After announcing the inauguration of a major Toyota dealership in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on 1 June, distribution specialist CFAO has opened a new car dealership in Kinshasa, capital of DR Congo. The ceremony was attended by Augustin Matata Ponyo Mapon, the country's Prime Minister, Richard Bielle, Chairman of the CFAO Board, and Marc Ferreol, Chief Executive Officer of CFAO Automotive Equipment & Services in West Africa.
The new dealership covers 10,000 square metres on Avenue des Poids Lourds and features a Toyota showroom, a Suzuki/Peugeot showroom, an aftersales service, a six-bay express service, a servicing workshop, a bodyshop and administrative facilities. Marc Ferreol: "We are happy with the opening, which reflects the strength of the Group in the automotive market and allows us to raise the bar in that market through a range of modern services without precedent in Kinshasa."
The Kinshasa dealership has new passenger cars made by Toyota, Suzuki and Peugeot, along with motorcycles and outboard motors by Suzuki and light commercial vehicles. "The Congolese automotive market is booming. In addition to our traditional private, public and broader public sectors, we are increasingly focusing on individual customers among the new urban middle class", explained Paulo Fernandes, Country Delegate for CFAO in DR Congo.
CFAO aims to retain its market share in an extremely buoyant Congolese market while offering a level of service in keeping with the highest international standards. Paulo Fernandes: "In DR Congo, like elsewhere, customers want established brands, along with spare parts that are readily available, an efficient workshop, professional service, long-term rental options and comprehensive servicing contracts".
